World’s End: Summer Send-Off / Summer Solstice events. Great evening watching sunset over Boston skyline
Family friendly / no dogs – Around Boston about 45min south east
Looking for a nice evening outside, while watching the sunset over Boston skyline and enjoying outdoor music? World’s End Summer Solstice or Summer Send-Off events are for you!
What to expect
During these events you can set-up your chairs and picnic rug at the top of World’s End main hill, then relax and enjoy a nice picnic while watching the sunset. If you feel like dancing, a scene is present with local bands playing. This is a family friendly event (no dogs) and you can expect many other groups, without the event being packed as the organization is limiting the number of entrance.
For food and drinks, pick your option : you can either bring your own or try the food trucks and beers. The event usually hosts one of the great south shore brewery, like Vitamin Sea or Windowmaker. Be ready to wait in line for some of the food trucks, specially if you like ice cream !
We did this event for the 2022 Solstice with some of our friends and really enjoyed a super night with a magnificent sunset. We liked the overall set-up, good atmosphere and happiness of the event.
Bring your friends and family, and come enjoy these nice outside events!
Practical information
When: Each event is once a year on a Saturday evening (Sunday being the rain date). The Solstice event is around the 21st of June and the Summer Send-Off usually takes place during the last weekend of August (exact schedule available in the website).

Reservation: Reservation must be done on the Trustees website. It cost about 60$ per car. Events do sold out fast.
What to pack: Bring your own food and drinks, or rely on the local vendors that will be present (the vendors list of vendors will be available on the Trustees website in advance). You need to plan for your own seating, picnic rug or table to eat.
How it works: Buy your ticket in advance online and pack your car with your friends and everything you need for a picnic.
